The National Transport Authority has appointed CH2M Barry for the preparation of a Feasibility Study and Options Assessment Report which identifies an Emerging Preferred Route Option for Clongriffin to Tallaght Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Scheme as included in the Transport Strategy for the Greater Dublin Area 2016 – 2035 (NTA 2015).

The Objective of the study is to carry out a robust optioneering study for the Clongriffin to Tallaght BRT Corridor (Study Area) identifying all feasible and practicable route options, developing concept designs and identifying an Emerging Preferred Route to deliver a BRT scheme linking Clongriffin to Tallaght.

The corridor is located within the administrative areas of Dublin City Council, South Dublin County Council and may cross into Fingal County Council. The Clongriffin to Tallaght BRT corridor runs from the vicinity of the DART Station in Clongriffin to the LUAS Station in Tallaght. The overall corridor for consideration is centred on the Malahide Road, Fairview, the City Centre, Rathmines/Harolds Cross, Terenure, Rathfarnham and Firhouse. The exact route is not yet fixed and our study will identify and assess of all routes in the general vicinity of this alignment.
